Can I plz get the timedate.cpl files used in this theme? (possibly already in .cpl form so i can simply swap the current timedate.cpl file with the one for this theme) I have already managed to restore the old clocks via Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4 for Windows 10 but the timedate.cpl used for the clock in the screenshot aren't in the theme folder or the extras folder. I would really like to use those if I can.

I actually don't have it, I downloaded the windows 7 and 8 version hoping that it was included but no luck, Lamia might have it as he seems to have it on the screenshot I used.

It's because you haven't used this patching method: http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/70555-Uxstyle-and-Theme-Signature-Bypass-for-Windows-10-TH2-AKA-1511-AKA-10586
If you open the .theme file of Jarvis with notepad++ you will see Grim has preconfigured it to work with this patch and to point to
C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero\aerolite.msstyles\
rather than the default C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\ location.
So either you can replace all the modified locations to their classic ones or you can use the alternate patching method which is preferrable and gives you theme's previews in the personalization pane.

i'll be blunt you should really update utorrent, cause with outdated software that connects to the net you're endangering yourself and everyone else when you go online. if you're worried about the ads in the later versions of utorrent google how to remove them.

i have mtorrent pro version 3.4.5 already, but many trackers and people suggest to use 2.2.1 :) and it's true.. more stable and fast from the new one.

Anyway.. enough with this and thanx for your answers..

Another question now. We can change the color of jarvis theme to green for example? i want to know how because i want to make multiple editions.

This them uses MrGRiM's method to apply it. In order for it to apply with patched system you have to open the .theme file in notepad and replace the c:\windows\resources\themes\areolite.msstyle with c:\windows\themes. You have to do that with every location spot in the .theme file or it won't load them from the are you're using. I had to do it myself since I'm using a patched system as well.

--- EDIT February 9, 2016 7:56 PM -07:00 GMT ---

OK figured out the problem, it's because of the Glyph icons, you need to disable them in the SiB options for the menu to display correctly, I always have them off so never noticed, I could make it so the start menu will tile in the correct margins but this will effect the way it looks when using the start menu user picture.

Edit: Theme updated with start menu fix.

MrRearm
February 6th, 2016, 12:44 PM
In fact, by disabling the icons it appears to me correctly, the only thing I know, and that's when I overlay the menu of other windows, does not look good for the transparent effect, but that's okay, thank you for answering, and congratulations all the jobs you do, they are wonderful! :)

Hello,

I've noticed that the startorbs for this theme don't shrink down to fit small task bars. Is there any way you could provide start orbs for small taskbars? I was able to make up for it before due to the links bar resizing the taskbar enough, but i just reinstalled win10 to get cortana back and used dhjons all in one installer, of which apparently shrinks those icons, lol. Now the links bar doesn't make up for that anymore. I don't mind the smaller links icons but the start orb is bigger than the taskbar when using a small taskbar. I would be grateful if you could provide smaller start orbs for this theme to use with the small taskbars. Here is a screenshot for reference if it helps.

I spotted a sizing glitch with the start menu in this theme. Here's a screenshot.

72294

It seems to do this whenever there's a specific amount of folders on the right side of the start menu. As for the start orb, it's only fitting on small tasbars atm due to links bar icons reverting to somewhat larger size and increasing task bar by a pixel or so, leaving the bottom of the taskbar 1 pixel bigger than the top of it, so that probably needs fixing as well.

You have to donate to the developer of Aero Glass (5 euro) and than you will get an email with instructions to log in to your support profile here: http://glass8.eu/support.php Where you can input your machine code and download a donation.key. Once you have that file put it in your AeroGlass folder in your C drive and reboot, the watermark will disappear.

Okay, it seems I'm still having the start orb issue with this theme. Simply put, the start orbs is about 1 pixel too big when the taskbar is set to small. If anyone can provide a version of this theme's start orb that is about 1 pixel smaller (supposing my math is correct on that), I would be very grateful. Here is a screenshot for reference.

I just finished checking the resolution. That wasn't it. As for PS, I can't afford to buy that. I think i'll just leave it as it is. I have GIMP, but I don't have the required xcf file to edit it with GIMP. As for paint.net, that one is still too complicated for me to edit start orbs with, lol. It also tends to be rather buggy when using a patched system (can't theme the snapins with the UxThemePatcher method). Personally, I think it may be a problem with my version of SiB++. I'm running what appears to be a consumer release. The auto update feature isn't even available in this one. And it's automatically activated upon download. (Personally I'm hoping it's a consumer release. I'll be rather peeved if it turns out to be a cracked version :sigh:)

Thanks. I always thought I would need an xcf file of each state to prevent issues when resizing, lol. Ironically, my first attempt had the very issue I expected. But for some reason after countless fails, I created a working one with the same method as first attempt, lol. Only difference was the first attempt I didn't save as xcf first, while the final attemp, i saved as xcf first, and then exported to png. That time i worked perfectly. (Not sure how saving xcf first changes it any, but I won't judge, lol) Here's some new screenshots just to show off, lol.

That's good you got it sorted out. However, xcf are only necessary if you want to save the current state GIMP is in and you want to pick up where you left off from the last session. I don't think I've ever used xcf files because I just edit what I need to and then exit the program. Here is what I would do to edit start orb: 1. Right click image and select "Edit with GIMP" from context menu (alternatively if you don't have a context menu entry, open GIMP and drag and drop the image into it) 2. Image>Scale Image... to your dimension. 3. Ctrl+Shift+E to export the image (not save.) and when the Export Image dialog opens change the file extension by typing in what you desire (in this case .png should be typed by default).

Here is an explanation of xcf, confirming my point "XCF, short for eXperimental Computing Facility, is the native image format of the GIMP image-editing program. It saves all of the data the program handles related to the image, including among others each layer, the current selection, channels, transparency, paths and guides." So, you don't need this for making small modifications or quick edits.

I tried renaming the one in system32 folder by adding .old to it and then placing this theme's version into system32, but the task manager wouldn't even open anymore when i did that and i had to undo that. Is there any way to actually replace the actual task manager with this themes version? because I've noticed this themes version has a few more features compared to the system default one.

How do you mean replace the default Task Manager? You can just open this one or right click and pin to start menu. You can also right click and click Create Shortcut and place that where you want. This theme's Task Manager is a duplicate of the Windows 7 one.

Oh, ok. I was thinking there might be a way to make it so that pressing control+shift+escape would open this theme's version instead of the current system version. Oh well, lol. Thanks for the info.

OK so I tried taking ownership of Task Manager and renamed it like you did.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work out quite like you want with the shortcut, but here's a compromise.

1. Right click the theme's extra's Task Manager and select "Create shortcut"
2. On the newly created shortcut right click and select "Properties"
3. Go to the "Shortcut" tab and enter a "Shortcut key", Ctrl+Shift+F1 is a compromise (Esc. exits the dialog, so it can't be used).

Here you go, this will show you how to replace the default one, I personally just have it pinned to the taskbar but if you want it fully integrated then this is your best bet. http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-restore-the-good-old-task-manager-in-windows-8/, just remember the old taskmanger doesn't let you select startup items, I use CCleaner for that though so doesn't effect me.

Looks like this method doesn't work on Windows 10. No matter, I have this themes version pinned to my RocketDock anyways.

You'll have to find a prefered icon pack and install it yourself. This theme doesn't come with an icon pack of it's own. I personally use MR GRiM's HUD Machine Blue iPack for windows 8/8.1/8.1.1 and simply uncheck devmgr, main, and notepad.

If "devmgr", "main" and "notepad" remain checked does the system crash?
In other words, is the "unchecking" your personal preferenace or should I definitely uncheck it as well before I install it on my Windows 10 TH2 1511 10586 system?

Edit:
Scratch that - I don't see any of the three you mentioned
The options I see are:
App Icons
Basic Theme Extras Without Icons
Basic Theme Icons (imagesres.dll only)
Install all other Icons and Extras
Windows Media Player Skin
Task Manager

of which I checked everything except for "Basic Theme Extras Without Icons" because I'm guessing it puts a windows 8 theme which is not applicable on W10.
Thankfully the system didn't crash and I do see the icons now :D

That's bloody marvellous mate! Thank you very much! :)

The only thing the matter now with Jarvis is that:
the "explorer" icon is still this yellow envelope on the taskbar (shown in picture 1)
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18135227/TempLinks/1.jpg

and 1 particular bug with the "Save As" Dialogue that doesn't seem to be drawn correctly (shown in pictures 2 and 3)
As a result, I don't have access to the sidebar to quickly navigate to the Desktop and the other shortcuts, and to make things worse, the Arrows on the Address Bar that usually open a list of places when clicked, don't open at all now. Everything has to be typed as a path (i.e. "C:\Users\User\Desktop")
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18135227/TempLinks/2.jpg
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18135227/TempLinks/3.jpg

I should mention that this happens to any Save As Dialogue, it's not an opera-related issue.

n1h1l1sT (http://virtualcustoms.net/member.php/153865-n1h1l1sT) I'd recommend you right click "Command Prompt" after searching for it in start menu and then type "sfc/scannow" let the scan finish, then reboot. It could possibly be the icons you installed that were for Win8.1 causing the blanks. You should also have only one icon pack installed at a time, so after running the scan and the icons are returned to their defaults, install just the one icon pack you want. If you want HUD Machine Blue icon pack installed, the proper version can be found in the iPacks section here: http://virtualcustoms.net/forumdisplay.php/1230-iPacks-Win-8-8-1-and-10 iPacks are considered better than 7tsp due to it being faster to uninstall by not having to use sfc/scannow and being able to uninstall from control panel like a regular application. Hope this helps.

You've installed the program IconPackager? If so, click on Default Windows icons and applies, as in this image:
72422
Then do a thorough cleaning with CCleaner.
If the PC has restarted you're the same problem then, the icon package is not fully compatible with your system, and then, you will need to uninstall it.

A rookie mistake - i should have know to sfc /scannow before putting the jarvis.
I'm positive it'll all be okay when I do so.

Also, having an installer/uninstaller for the icon is a big plus too - thx for suggesting the HUD icon installer pack

That's good to hear. You apparently found a different installer than the one I use, lol. Mine was an iPack installer for Windows 8/8.1/8.1.1 only. With the one I used, leaving devmgr checked breaks devmgr making it so it wont open; leaving main checked removes the ability to access the cursor settings; and as for leaving notepad checked, i'm personally not sure what that does on windows 10, but i remember someone on here advising me to leave that unchecked as well, so i uncheck that just to be safe, lol. Glad you found a working one though. :Peace:

I gotta admit, I'm loving this new Jarvis icon pack. However, there is one thing I've noticed. For some reason, my .zip icons weren't changed by this pack. I'm guessing this icon pack simply doesn't include .zip folder icons. Is there any way you could possibly provide an updated version that includes the Jarvis based .zip folder icons as well? It kinda throws off the style with Microsaurs crappy yellow icons being used on the .zip folder icons when pretty much every other folder icon is skinned by this icon pack. :Peace:

Okay, two issues here, the copy of WinRAR included in that link is in a language I can't even come close to recognising (much less reading), and it appears I can't use IconPackager to manually change icons because for some reason my 30 day free trial was used up through every email account i have (and im not making a new one just for one program). I do have 7-zip but personally I prefer to use the actual default system program for simple .zip files and reserve 7zip for .7z files, .rar files, basically anything that can't be opened by windows explorer. I tried downloading that version of WinRAR, and although i finally succeeded after about 10 tries, it changed my friggin system language to whatever language it was in. I honestly don't even know how I managed to change it back, lol. I simply went through a bunch of random crap until it changed back, lol. The only language I understand is English (the United States version). So maybe if someone can just edit the icon into the icon pack so that it applies to .zip folder images then I can definitely go with that pack. But editing it in myself is something I can't do without making a new email account just to get the friggin stardock icon packager program, and i have too many email accounts as is.

Definitely strange. Is it placed into the zipflr.dll (or whatever that dll file is called)? Because if it's not then that might be why it doesn't load it. I think it would require a redirect reg hack to load the icon from anywhere else. I may be wrong though. I just remember the iPack installers made through iPackager 2.0 (i think that's the name) patching a dll file by that name.

I did notice a lot of posts saying that IconPackager isn't fully compatible with Windows 10 as well. I'm not sure if that's the issue or not, though, lol. I'm not even sure if this IconPack was made with StartDock's IconPackager, lol. Either way, I'll just switch the default program for .zip files over to 7-zip for now. At least until a version of this iPack is made which will apply that icon as well. Btw, was that a MSPaint icon in there as well, lol? I've never seen an iPack with a custom MSPaint icon before, lol. I didn't think this one even had one since it didn't change the icon for it, lol. That one caught me off guard, lol.

Thank you for the great theme. Like all other themes of yours, it is awesome.

However, I am having an issue with this one. I believe I installed the theme correctly. Followed the guide, and all that, but, the side panel and the address bar stay white (though, the side bar works at first... It's weird. :/), and, I can't figure out what's causing it, or how to fix it. Someone please help?

Edit: I think I found the issue. I forgot to delete some old things from an 8.1 theme (the extras from HUD Evolution), and accidentally used that stuff with this theme.
I screwed up my laptop, somehow, restored the system to a point before I started installing this theme, and, this time, I didn't use all the extras from HUD 8.1. It's working completely fine, now.
If anybody read this post before this edit, and started trying to figure out the issue, I am sorry for wasting your time.

Actually, either I'm an idiot, again, or, Windows was being weird.

I turned off the sync settings for the theme, because I think that's what caused it to switch themes, since it went to "synced theme", for some reason, and, I tried selecting the theme again, and it worked this time...

... I don't seem to be at my best with using themes, anymore. lol

Then again, I'm used to how it was with 7 and 8, where all we had to do was install UxStyle, the theme, and the icon pack. I probably just need to get used to 10.

Sorry mate.. im on RS1. If @Shemhamforash wants to do it i can give him the files for the W8.1 red one

Well, I'd want to use the 8.1 themes if I were to do it, unfortunately I did not have a great experience last time I went about using the Jarvis executables from "SkinPacks" so no not me.

Ok, I found the actual theme files from Alien Byte's da page. These ones are not .exe skin packs

The size of the taskbar clock font has to be changed using Windows Style Builder to show the full date.

Theres this nifty lil thing you can do called clicking on the time on taskbar to see the date too.. but i guess thats way to hard and takes extra effort. lol

No problem, I personally never use restorator for anything that belongs to .msstyles. One interesting thing is now that the taskbar clock is in a new location in RS1/Anniversary Update you can make the date show without changing the font to a smaller size. But I still prefer the padding around it so I probably won't have the date showing on my Jarvis Red and Green imports.
