Does Hyperdesk work on 10 or are you having to extract and convert their themes for use on 10?


That's what I figured, I have most of the Hyperdesk themes for Windows 7 but as you know they came in .exe files from Hyperdesk so they would need to be installed or the exe files extracted in order to convert to Windows 10.

What are you using to extract the .exe theme files? Just tried 7zip, it doesn't work.


no it doesn't & correct me if im wrong but only way to get the themes is after you've let the suite install fully before that the temp files created are '.wid' ....no way to open them without the proper Webi report i think

Those themes are Hyperdesk Themes converted by Alienbyte for his own use, sharing them without Hyperdesk permission is going to be impossible being as they charge for all their themes I really do not think they will give it.

The links you point to at DA are more than likely posted without Hyperdesk's permission, should they find out they will have them pulled from DA.

Thanks for the compliment and rep, much appreciated. I can fix the inactive caption buttons, must have missed that. But what should be changed with the explorer back forward buttons? They came from an image with a black background so I did what I could to fix them. Would you rather them swapped out for another theme's?

I redownloaded the theme and applied it, again, I don't have the issue you have with inactive caption buttons. Mine are displaying fine, see here:

OK bud, here is the new theme

I do believe I fixed the caption buttons for you as well. There is a second section in Mark's style builder where it has TH2 caption buttons. In style builder, the buttons only change their location when these are changed. I didn't change the inactive properties in the "regular" caption buttons, but since I don't see the difference, I did not have that error. So I copied the same settings over there and they should be displaying right now. :tu:

The caption buttons cannot be changed anymore from what they are now without creating new graphics. This wouldn't be so difficult if they were a solid black background, but they do have a bit of a textured background, so doing so would change the design of the original theme.

Now I have tightened up the caption buttons by a couple of pixels, also changed the dropdown arrow (beside explorer back buttons) so it's centred and removed the glow for a more clean look

What about on another theme like HUD machine? Does the box disappear after installing aero glass? If not than it is an issue on your end, because it should. As far as I know there is no other way to remove it.

The title text not being rendered correctly without aero glass (grey boxes) is probably because of text compositing effects like glow or shadow that aren't possible with added dwm functionality from aero glass.

Modern apps like setting's titlebar can only be themed using ModernFrame by Big Muscle, an add-on for Aero Glass. It's an option in Grim's installer AeroGlass-w10-1.5.1.724.exe (http://virtualcustoms.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=75918&d=1477186411)

In Settings > Colors you can choose Make start transparent. It's technically not above the taskbar margin, it just looks like it when you select a solid background. Otherwise it can't be changed or themed.

Mine still has a back button in settings. Taskbar icon can't be changed. It only looks that way because the top of it is black so you think it's above the margins. Try a white background. Either that or you need to explain what you mean.

There is nothing I can do about the settings app top margin. It's not themeable. Now as for the bottom, it is not above the margin for taskbar icons. You can clearly see here that the top part of the taskbar is black, you are using a black background so it looks like the focused icon is above it, but it's not. I inverted the taskbar so you can see the icon is not going above the taskbar. If you wanted it below the line that's black in the taskbar graphic, that can't be changed in Windows 10.

From my testing it's not necessary to change inactive accent settings to black in the Tweaker.
Since the color settings are adjusted in control panel, I can automatically set that color in the .theme file, so you shouldn't have to configure any colors to remove the box. It's going to be part of the next updates I do for my imports.

Another advantage to this is that it should change the colored line of the application icons, the default start orb and the login and shutdown background screen color to that color. Not entirely sure if it still does all that with SiB installed. I think my colors are not right on my one vm. But I tested on another without SiB installed and it changes those things.

I've just checked my archive and saw there's a Hyperdesk Darkmatter Redshift for Win7. So I extracted darkmatter_redshift.wmz and upload here (since the wmz format won't change much after all those years). Take a look to see if that's what you look for..
