I think that "killing" the old way of applying themes ... will make this way look great.

These "themes" are just wallpapers and accent color changes. Some might be for sale too. But they're no different than .deskthemepacks.

AhHaHaHaHaHa but i find this EXTREMELY hard to believe. willing to bet if they do they will go the way of other theme'ing companies and the themes will be proprietary and cost. we will be forced to crack their new system.

The personalization panel will be accessible from the settings app. That's the only difference I see, there won't be any support for third party themes using .msstyles ever again on Windows.

just watched the vid and overall i'm impressed. hope this makes it to the slow ring and ultimately the fast ring.
