I would like to try removing some parts in Style Builder for the DWM window captions and frames > frames > top frame. I wanted to see if having only a textcolor without any glow or shadow effects would display without a rectangle around the title when Aero Glass is not installed. For some themes that are fully opaque this is the only problem without using Aero Glass. If I try to remove the property a message comes up saying DWM requires these classes to function. Any way around this in a theme port like the ASUS themes? Thanks

If you want to add or remove properties in DWM,put WSB in Windows 7 mode and create a stylehack of what you want to do
then put it back in Windows 8 mode and apply your stylehack.
You may have to open and close WSB between operations

This worked for me, after trying out a few different things comparing with a theme by neiio, the colorizationcolor did work
76451
It also works for transparent frames original
76453 vs after 76452
http://virtualcustoms.net/images/smilies/Animated%20Smilies_524.gifEdit: it doesn't seem to work with all themes, some still have a grey box. In the toxic theme for example there is one. Are there other colizationcolors that will work?
I'm trying to use this calculator https://www.shodor.org/stella2java/rgbint.html but with the color code 9,9,9 using the HUD Machine theme and setting -592137 doesn't get rid of the rectangle. Your setting works pretty well with different theme's frames, themes still show the rectangle though but maybe it's not possible to remove completely.

It's working in testing mode, but I apply a theme and the box returns. Any way to use this trick and apply from the personalization panel?

Adding ColorizationColor=0x0F followed by the HEX value of the titlebar color to the .theme file is how you apply this from the personalization pane
