Methods to Install Custom Themes
Windows 10 All-In-One Installer with Uninstaller
OR
ThemeSignatureBypass by Big Muscle

Installing themes on Windows 10:
Some Tools You May Need

Uxstyle, Theme Signature Bypass (http://virtualcustoms.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=74615&d=1470338612) and UltraUxThemePatcher
UxTheme service hook - Visual Theme Signature Bypass

ONE
OldNewExplorer is the Windows 10 (and Windows 8.1, and 8) shell extension / tweaker which can undo "improvements" to file browsing made in newer Windows versions. Everything is optional for your liking.
For best results, use these settings:
http://virtualcustoms.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=77346&d=1492660259 (http://virtualcustoms.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=77346&d=1492660259)

StartIsBack++ for Windows 10 (http://startisback.com/#download-tab)
What's hot about StartIsBack on Windows 10 now?
Full taskbar skinning!
Ability to reduce resource usage by disabling newer Start menu and Cortana processes from prelaunching
Ability to use adequately sized (32x32) large icons and larger start menu button on taskbar
Modern icon glyphs on Start menu right hand pane
Modern blur, drop shadow and immersive context menus for start menu
Fully dynamic DPI aware start menu and configuration app
New modern style with round user picture
Lots of new minor additions and tweaks

Recommended Prior to Applying Custom Themes:

1.) Create a Restore Point
2.) Install Fonts included in the "Extras" folder
3.) Apply System Metrics included in the "Extras" folder and logout or reboot
4.) Install an iPack of your choice to change the system icons
5.) Select the Theme's Start Menu and Taskbar in the StartIsBack++ configuration. If it's not a visible option to select the theme's start menu, apply your custom theme first!
6.) Copy a Start Orb from the "Theme" folder to a new location, rename it, then open the StartIsBack++ configuration, click Add... select the Start Orb and click Apply.

I take no responsibility for anyone that bricks their system, use custom themes at your own risk

Please make sure you download the correct file according to your version of Windows!

its kind of funny seeing the wallpaper for this theme, i also play around in secondlife and create mesh characters i found a mesh 3d character from the game crysis and rigged it to bring into second life. i have never played the game and never even see the nanosuit around untill after i was bored and decided to rig the 3d character for something to do cool theme

I have a question about the IPack your using on this theme, it seems like a bunch of win10 ipacks were pulled for one reason or another. I had the hud blue ipack on my machine when it updated from win7 to win10 and now I am stuck with them, for some reason when it updated to win10 it removed the little icon to remove them in the add and remove programs pannel. i am going to do a clean install soon and am just trying to find out what all Ipacks are out there that work for win10. i have found a fiber ipack, a magnum ipack and tech ipack but looks like the hud machine ipacks are for win8 and 8.1 only, but it seems like when i see peoples pics of the theme they created they have different ipacks then what i find. so I am just asking around what one the theme creaters use so i can pick from those

thanks for your help with this

firstly, a fresh install isn't exactly needed to fix you're issue.

to restore default widows 10 icons, the best option would be to open Command Prompt as admin and run sfc /SCANNOW

Let that run and follow the instructions it gives when it gives them [usually nothing too big]. This will restore all windows system files to default microsoft versions. Then just get the ThemeSignatureBypass.exe from Mr GRiM's post here: http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/72751-Aero-Glass-for-Windows-10-RS1?highlight=AeroGlass+Windows

You may or may not need to disable Secure Boot via your system BIOS for it to work. Then you can apply your themes again [just make sure you get the ones for your build of windows 10], and get the icons you want from the thread for windows 8/8.1/8.1.1/10 iPacks. Those will work on all builds of Windows 10. Your Win7 ones got left like that because they weren't for Win10 and corrupted your icon cache when you updated before removing them. That's why the uninstall option isn't available.

It's always best to remove customizations before updating if there are major changes like build updates and changing from win7 to win10 indefinitely. Otherwise that happens. It's usually an easy fix, though.

The themes will have extra reqs such as Old New Explorer, and many even StartIsBack++. You can find those from the links provided. If the links aren't provided however you can get Old New Explorer from here: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170375-oldnewexplorer-118/

And StartIsBack++ from here: http://startisback.com/

If you decide to try out AeroGlass [optional, but some of us like it. I personally don't go without it, lol], you can get that from here: http://glass8.eu/

Or you can use Mr GRiM's unofficial installers from the same page as the ThemeSignatureBypass.exe [just make sure you get the right one for your build if you use those].

hey thanks for all the info, when i upgraded to win10 I figured it was going to do a clean install but it didnt and I really did not think about removing the icons prior to going with the free upgrade. i already have all the other things you mentioned, I have been running themes on win10 with out any issue other then the blue hud macine icons being stuck there. cool deal I just need to find icons that match aesthetics and color and I should be good to go. i spent the last 20 years of my life before i became disabled paining and refinishing kitchens so I am severly anal about colors matching and lines being straight and things looking like they belong there. thanks again for all your help

ok guess i was not quite clear as to what I was wondering. at the bottom of your themed screen cap on the task bar, you have different icons then I have seen around. is that a dock ? that is there or is that part of the ipack your using? they are all dark and looked to be recessed into the task bar. i used to be pretty good with computers and their issues but years back i had a really bad car accident and became disabled i think the yrs of taking pain meds and other meds have taken a toll on my thinker and some time stuff just does not sink in or come out right when I am asking questions. i like the looks of the recessed icons you have on the task bar and was just wondering if they were part of an ipack or something else like a dock.

thanks for all your help I love the theme and want to set it all up right on my machine

No it's not a dock or anything like that, the icons are called Token Dark which can be found and downloaded here: https://brsev.deviantart.com/art/Token-128429570

The tutorial to change the task bar icons is found here: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/28847/how-to-customize-your-windows-7-taskbar-icons-for-any-app/

The tutorial says it's for Windows 7 but still holds true for Windows 10.
