Windows 10 Black Edition for Windows 10 Creators Update

78038

RGB Color Colection
18 Styles to chose from

Enjoy!!

For Creators Update only!!

You will need to use OldNewExplorer (highly recommended), SiB and Aero Glass are also recommended but the theme looks great without them.

Tools you may need:

Uxstyle, Theme Signature Bypass (http://virtualcustoms.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=74615&d=1470338612) and UltraUxThemePatcher
(http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170375-oldnewexplorer-118/):bulletgreen: UxTheme service hook - Visual Theme Signature Bypass

ONE (OldNewExplorer) (http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170375-oldnewexplorer-118/)
:bulletred: OldNewExplorer is the Windows 10 (and Windows 8.1, and 8) shell extension / tweaker which can undo "improvements" to file browsing made in newer Windows versions. Everything is optional for your liking.
For best results, use these settings:
http://virtualcustoms.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=75175&d=1472576019

StartIsBack++ for Windows 10 (http://startisback.com/#download-tab)
What's hot about StartIsBack on Windows 10 now?
:bulletgreen: Full taskbar skinning!
:bulletgreen: Ability to reduce resource usage by disabling newer Start menu and Cortana processes from prelaunching
:bulletgreen: Ability to use adequately sized (32x32) large icons and larger start menu button on taskbar
:bulletgreen: Modern blur, drop shadow and immersive context menus for start menu

Aero Glass for Win8.1+ (http://www.glass8.eu/)
Experience native look of Aero Glass interface on Windows 8.x+
:bulletred: This utility returns the complete glass effect into windows frames.
:bulletred: Fully native including MSStyle themes and DWM API compatibility

Winaero Tweaker (http://winaero.com/download.php?view.1796)
:bulletgreen: Winaero Tweaker is an all-in-one application which will include most options available in the free Winaero apps and extend it as much as possible. It is a universal tweaker software which supports Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

Recommended Prior to Applying Custom Themes

:bulletred: Create a Restore Point
:bulletred: Install Fonts included in the "Extras" folder
:bulletred: Apply System Metrics included in the "Extras" folder and logout or reboot
:bulletred: Install an iPack of your choice to change the system icons (check the Theme Extras section above for a link to the icons in the preview)!
:bulletred: Select the Theme's Start Menu and Taskbar in the StartIsBack++ configuration. If it's not a visible option to select the theme's start menu, apply your custom theme first!
:bulletred: Copy a Start Orb from the "Theme" folder to a new location, rename it, then open the StartIsBack++ configuration, click Add... select the Start Orb and click Apply.

I take no responsibility for anyone that bricks their system, use custom themes at your own risk!!

Thank you very much for this theme, I have a problem with it though on 1703:
I got UltraUXThemePatcher and ThemeSignatureBypass Installed (when I install UxStyle instead then "personalize > compositions" crashes), fresh Win 10 Pro x64 and obviously followed attached instructions as usual.

proof:

Would be much obliged if you could help me solve this.

/edit

Nvm, sorry to bother you. For everyone fighting against similar problem: it turns out that I had OldNewExplorer version 1.1.7 instead of 1.1.8 (I noticed that my details pane is not displayed properly on the bottom), which means that "enable glass on navigation bar" option didn't work.

any theme for the creators update 15063.??? should work without any issues on the fall creators update 16299.???. i'd suggest in this order theme signature bypass, oldnewexplorer, Add Personalize Classic.reg, and startisback, or simply use dhjohns all-in-one(aio). then copy your theme(s) to the resources\themes folder.

fyi, if you use the aio and want startisback you'll have to install it separately cause startisback is not included in the aio.

One suggestion for scrollbar.
I'd use always use the color of hover (dark gray) as its default state is almost black on black (barely visible)

Is there a guide to follow step by step?
Guide is pretty short in the #1 post

Dark Knight

Is there a simple guide to follow? Grim's one is pretty short ^^

1.) Make sure all your supporting software is installed UxThemePatcher needs to be installed, If you use UxThemeSignatureBypass as I do, you need to at least have Aeroglass installed as it uses the Aeroglass folder, you don't necessarily need to have it running, the folder just needs to be there for it's use ( C:\AeroGlass ) ....

Install the following ...
a.) Old New Exlporer - (needed)
b.) Aeroglass - (optional)
c.) StartIsBack - (optional)

2.) After all supporting software is installed, re-start system, unpack the theme to the desktop (so you can find it easily), open the folder "Windows Black Edition Complete Collection" by double clicking on it, then double ciick the Theme folder and copy the .theme file and folder of the same of your choice (or all if you want), be careful not to copy the shortcut folder, and paste the contents into your C:\Windows\Resources\Theme folder. double click the .theme file you want to use and you should be good to go.

In the Extras folder you are going to want to use the "Remove Default Color.reg" file otherwise whenever your computer wakes from hibernation or comes out of screensaver mode or screen lock there will be white areas in the theme, this reg file prevents that. Simply right click on the RemoveDefaultColors.reg file, select Merge and follow the prompts until complete. Windows will more than likely throw some safety prompt at you and ask you if you are sure you want to do this, just click yes.
The rest of the extras folder will be pretty much up to you.

You may be trying to switch it in Settings. That does not work. Change is in \Windows\Resources\Themes or apply these commands, and right click on your desktop to open personalization.
Reg.exe add "HKCR\DesktopBackground\Shell\Personalization" /v "Icon" /t REG_SZ /d "ADD YOUR FAVORITE ICON PATH HERE" /f
Reg.exe add "HKCR\DesktopBackground\Shell\Personalization" /v "MUIVerb" /t REG_SZ /d "Theme Settings" /f
Reg.exe add "HKCR\DesktopBackground\Shell\Personalization" /v "Position" /t REG_SZ /d "Bottom" /f
Reg.exe add "HKCR\DesktopBackground\Shell\Personalization\command" /ve /t REG_SZ /d "explorer shell:::{ED834ED6-4B5A-4bfe-8F11-A626DCB6A921}" /f

Thanks a bunch for the 2 previous posters for helping me. Also, thanks again Mr. Grimm for keeping this theme updated with all the windows updates it is by far my favorite. Easy on the eyes and not too much going on..just love it. Anyways soo this is what how i used to have it looking on 1607 or 1611(too many numbers i dont remember exactly what version it was).

Anyways this is how it looked before: (please ignore the Red circles I used an old image describing a prior issue I was having)

80356

Now it has a totally black background on explorer windows and it's not a huge issue, but im trying to figure out if that is what it is supposed to be or if I installed something incorrectly.

80357

If there is an easy way to change/fix this then please let me know as i prefer the dark grey explorer windows.

EDIT:
I also noticed this in my control panel. very distracting lol I'm starting to think I've done something wrong.

Hey, sorry to clog up your thread with all my nonsense. I just installed aeroglass again because I love it; however, it makes the windows not in use a really annoying bright grey. Just curious if this is normal or if I have installed something incorrectly. Thanks in advance for any information or fixes. Also, it's not a huge issue so don't go insane trying to figure out what my dumb self did wrong lol. Also, what is the program that makes the entire window transparent? I miss that and forgot what it was.

I don't know what went wrong but as I was installing the icons for this theme, my laptop rebooted into a endless boot loop that I could not get it out of. It would just keep show a blue screen with the windows dots for a few seconds then the log in screen for a second then the blue dots screen again and again and again over and over. Luckily a few days prior I moved everything over to external drive for safe keeping. The only thing I could do was reset my laptop to factor settings again and then reinstall windows 10 and my programs. I'm not sure I wanna attempt this again unless I have a full walk through step by step for installing theme and icons. I have done this before not my first time doing this but it has been a while. After going through the ordeal of factor reset and windows install, I'd rather have a step by step so not to have any problems. If no one provides a walk through I guess I wont be doing this again.

Anyway, Thanks for all the help prior to my laptop malfunction. I like the theme a lot and the icons, windows 10 is just so boring to look at and way to bright.

Hey, just a quick question about one of the programs in your "Extras" folder. I love what "System Transparency" does, it's probably one of my favorites. I'm just wondering if there is a way to save settings? it appears to reset whenever you shutdown or restart your computer. Might even change on logout but i haven't tested it yet. It's not a huge deal just kind of annoying to reset every time. thanks in advance for any information.

Sounds like your having some problems this is why I prefer Ipak, 7tsp is a Great Program I think for more Experienced users It looks like you may have to do a System Restore, can you Invoke your Windows recovery Tools on Boot? If not you might have to make a Recovery Disc or Thumb Drive using the Media Creation Tool on another PC. I hope this Helps :Peace:Cheerz

oh thats bad sorry for this but what version you are using because with using iPack or 7tsp appl. you can use automatic restore point
and with iPack or 7tsp install is all of your replaced .dll files unlocked before patching but you can try using original 1803 version of windows 10 with Media Creation tool

You're getting the popup on boot because you don't have the correct symbols downloaded, run this bat file as admin to download the correct symbols .......

That should correct the popup you are getting on boot but If you haven't purchased the software just be aware there will still be a watermark at the bottom right corner of your screen still though.
