Remove Icons on Taskbar ONLY?

Hey all. I really like the look of the blanked icon set, however I've found that I really like having icons in windows explorer and elsewhere...just not on my taskbar. Is there any way I can go into the visual style and tweak it to simply not display icons at all on the taskbar? I'm not talking about the system tray-- I mean the icons next to things like Chrome, Windows Explorer, Photoshop files, etc. I really like the look of an all text task bar, I just find it easier to identify and locate files in windows explorer when I have some icons to look at. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if it works on the Creators Update but you could try TBarIconBlanker.
