Cannot install ANY themes with updated Win 10

I just installed Win 10 Creator's Update, and after installing the usual software to be able to use my themes, my computer will NOT allow me to install any themes that I used to use all the time. Just clicking on the resource folder in Windows, my screen goes blank for about 2 seconds then it's back to my desktop. Nothing helps, not even 'Take Ownership' helps. Even right clicking on my saved themes closes everything and I'm back on my desktop....So for a couple of days now I'm back using Windows 7, it's just so much more easier....Any ideas? Please feel free to help, I'd really appreciate it.

i had the same problem with the win10 1703 i got thru the windows insider program about 6 months ago. i have now updated to a clean install of 1703 but have not tried it again. i was just getting ready to put a theme on it so i hope I do not run into your problem also
