Device Storage Windows 10 1709

Hello

With the 1709, the "bar" of the "Device Storage" seems smaller and there is a "space" on the left (see screen) compared to 1703 for example

It will seem that for options of "OneDrive", etc...
If I replace the file explorerframe.dll of the 1709, by that of the 1703, it's good, I find the "device storage" normal

But I do not see what resource modify in explorerframe.dll, I tried the 40960, etc ... but without success

If someone has an idea

I extracted the 40960 resource (1703), changed to txt file, and integrated the 40960 "transformed" file into explorerframe.dll (1709)

I do not understand, I arrived there the other time (after several manipulations) and now, it does not work anymore :icon_evil:
I must forget something ...

If someone has an idea ?

im not sure if this will work but here are a couple of suggestions.
- get rid of any explorerframe.dll backups that are in the same folder, if any. Leave the file you've edited by itself
- maybe you could restore or download the original/unedited explorerframe.dll file and then try integrating it again.

I have already tested this, without success
The only thing that works is to use the explorerframe.dll file from the 1703
But I would have preferred to do the thing "cleanly" and keep the file explorerframe.dll of the 1709

I really don't think the issue is in the 40960 ui file of Exploreframe.dll.
My reason is,this file is already added to the shellstyle.dll and used when Old New Explorer in installed.
I could be wrong but ,I would look in a Windows 7 shell32.dll for the ui file and if you find it there
add it to the shell32_uifile folder of a shellstyle.dll made for use with Old New Explorer

But I had time today to have a look and had success

All you need to do is change the version number of a 1703 explorerframe.dll to the version number of the 1709 one
and the replace the original one with it.You must change both the system32 and syswow64 ones.
Here is the modified one I am using,in case you are having trouble doing the mod

If I understand correctly, you took the explorerframe.dll file from the 1703, replaced the version in the dll and replaced the DLL?
If so, that's what I did, and it works

I thought there was a solution to make directly from the 1709 file

Hello

Someone managed to do the change with the 1803 (17134.1) ?
I tried by using the file of the 1703 (as for the 1709), it works but it "breaks" the explorer when I click on an icon (Recycle Bin on Desktop for example)
