Ok, so when I setup my theme the first time I was using HUD Machine Green and I was able to change the default color scheme of Windows 10 to match. I now can't do that anymore, it doesn't change anything now and none of this was an issue before installing a theme from here. I've tried RestoreDefaultColors assuming that's what was stopping me, but that doesn't seem to be changing anything either. Am I missing a registry edit or something else?

I'm using HUD Machine Launch right now if that helps at all, I just want to change the default colors to match so I don't randomly get green in some system window while the rest of the computer is orange and black.

That's one of the first things I tried, but it's still using green and won't change. I also did the whole sfc /scannow thing (nothing was wrong) and a couple other regedit things and nothing's working. The only other option I've seen on most help sites is doing a repair reinstall, but I just did that recently for an unrelated issue so I'm not sure if that would actually help.

Tried that too. I've literally done everything that any site you can find on Google has suggested and none of them have worked and none of them have. The problem is that a new color won't even select in the first place. The checkbox only stays there til I've moved my mouse away.

Looks like reinstalling the OS is my only option, then.

I have had that issue before also. I do not know what causes it.

I wish I knew, cause it's annoying. A mild annoyance, but still annoying. If reinstalling the OS fixes it or if I find out what CAN fix it I'll update here for if anyone else in the future has this issue but nothing's working for them either.

You mentioned that you were able to change the default color scheme to match, what did you do to accomplish this, maybe that will give us some clue as to how to fix the issue.

I just used that to make a matching color. Same way I always did before I started using themes from here (so being stuck with the default appearance).
