Se7en Theme Source Patcher
83092

Changelog:
25 Jun 2019 v0.6 RC1 Build 2019
~Create restorepoint fixed for all windows versions
~Fixed regedit not being patched on x64 systems
~Added a new default skin created by devillnside (https://virtualcustoms.net/member.php/228009-devillnside)
~Added .mun file patching support - any .mun file can be added in *.mun.res format (experimental, not recommended)
~Many small script updates
~Removed misc options from Extra section
~Removed update check from info menu

7tsp features:
*7tsp is portable, no need to install
*More complete modification possible
*Faster Patching (e.g. 10x faster patching of imageres.dll)
*Patches any file in *.res format in the following folders:
system32\ folder on x86 and x64 systems (always has)
syswow64\ folder on x64 systems (always has)
Branding\ folder
en-US\ folder (when your system is e.g. French 7tsp uses fr-FR)
Speech\ folder
Migwiz\ folder
7tsp knows all file locations, just drop your *.res file in the resources folder in your pack and 7tsp figures it out
*Never patches explorer.exe and shell32.dll on windows 8, 8.1 and 10 systems even if the res file exists in the used pack
*The backup routine checks and saves all file versions to detect windows update changes

Tested on:
Windows 7 x86 and x64
windows 10 x64 live system

:loving:again really amazing work my dear friends:loving:
loving 7tsp and now 2019 update is really amazing with all updates and fixes working flawlessly:greedy:
again one of my best appl and i am using 7tsp many years and creating 7tsp or iPack packs many years but 7tsp is still better alternative for me
i think iPack users loving option if iPack can be uninstalled from installed apps and features
but iPack dont know working with more .res files as explorer.exe and shell32.dll same as with files .mui and .mun:cheeky:
7tsp is more secure for me and still is here chance running sfc/scannow and changing all patching files to windows default:peace:
more new fixes and 7tsp is now more faster as before and really nice is the new option if we can now see name of author of custom icon pack
and really amazing is new skin for 7tsp by devillnside (https://virtualcustoms.net/member.php/228009-devillnside)
really impressive work and idea thank you for all of your messages free time for me and all hours and days you are working on it:love:

Fixit (https://virtualcustoms.net/member.php/159280-Fixit)
I have noticed packs have been getting bigger and bigger in size

This is because some res editors leave old data inside the res files.
I have written a little tool to rebuild all res files from a resources folder so they are clean of any rest data.

For example the imageres.dll.res file from the 7tsp Rockstar Blue Icon Pack for w8 8.1 w10.7z pack has became about 37MB
after using this tool it will be about 27MB reducing the pack size significantly

i think iPack users loving option if iPack can be uninstalled from installed apps and features

The restore function is basically the same as uninstall and with 7tsp you can just re-patch or patch from clean backup files as well without uninstalling or restoring
but if it is really wanted i could write an uninstaller....

btw, ResReBuilder is not included in 7tsp but a separate little tool which i will probably release this weekend :)

yes yes thats really nice idea for the next update - script for uninstaller from apps and features:happy:
and yes sorry only now i downloaded attachment and yes its not included you sended this only for me for testing but this is really famulous
because the new pack is reduced from 92mb new pack = 65mb and thats really amazing and final pack .7zip for 7tsp only 8mb:greedy:

hello my dear friend but what tutorial you need for 7tsp or for new little and amazing tool for 7tsp ResReBuilder

Fixit (https://virtualcustoms.net/member.php/159280-Fixit)
I have noticed 7tsp packs have been getting bigger and bigger in size.

This is because some res editors leave old data inside the res files after modifying and saving them.

This tool rebuilds all res files from a resources folder so they are clean of any rest data and in some cases reduces there size significantly.

*Make sure your resources folder is in the same folder you execute ResReBuilder from.
*It makes a new folder called "ResRebuild" and does not touch the original files.
*ResReBuilder is portable

All these packs are simply amazing just like the themes ... thanks for all the hard work you all do :loving:

I have 1 question: How do I uninstall an iPack to switch to 7tsp? It's probably so obvious that I'll kick myself when I hear the answer - but any help is much appreciated :ashamed:

Thanks in advance

Windows 10 19h1 1903 18362 and Windows 10 19h2 1909 18363
now is patching more secured as on the older Windows 10 TH2-RS5 builds
after creating a new packs and testing 7tsp 6 months every day
7tsp 2019 and replacing new .mun files in the SystemResources directory is more secured
as replacing icons .dll .exe and .mui files .etc in the System32 and SysWOW64 directory
you can replace any of the .mun file what you like in the SystemResources directory
without any problem and unexcepted crashing after patching or next reboot

This is really cool! I was wondering though:Is there any way to install an icon pack from command or a batch file? I have a .bat file that I have progressively been adding apps to install with a single launch (redistributables etc) for the times I reinstall windows. It makes things super simple, I just plug in my flash drive which has an autorun file set to launch the .bat and it does the rest. Anyhow, sorry, my add gets to me lol. So I would love to add 7tsp and a specific theme to automatically install using my batch file. Is this possible?

"Sorry, 7tsp only works with Windows Se7en!"

this problem is if you are using the fake version of Windows and not the original license

this problem is if you are upgrading your os from Windows 7 to higher W8 / W10

if you are upgrading w10 to the higher build or Insider preview

before Upgrade run sfc /scannow and remove all of your 7tsp files from c/Program files directory
because new windows using the old rest data from Old Windows or use Clean Install

Hey Fixit
The Se7en patcher f'ed up something in my Windows 10. My Action Center notifications don't work. I'm sure the patcher screw it up, because I install new Windows on another PC, and went one app and settings by one, try and test, and after installing the patcher the notifications in action center stopped working. Actually, I receive them, but when I click them, nothing happens, they just dissapear. Anyway. I tried restore option, but it only restored the old icons, but I guess the files are still affected, and the notifications still don't work. Any way to correct this mess?

Try running command prompt as admin and entering sfc /scannow.
