In July 2019, a message appeared on the homepage announcing that the service would be shutting down in 2019.
The message cited decreasing advertising revenues which had made it impractical to continue with a free service
and recommended that users switch to its sister site Photobucket (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photobucket).
Photobucket had abandoned free image hosting in 2017 and requires payment to host images.
On September 9, 2019, Tinypic was officially shut down with a period to allow existing users
prior to the shutdown date to download all their photos up untl September 19, 2019.
:sad:All of my images on VC was deleted because i dont have time for restoring and reuploading
more than 1 000+ images on VC site sorry:sad:

I used to be a member of Tinypic, but I switched to imgur which is free and easy to use.

Here is a site I would normaly use and it allows larger sized images than tinypic - hope this helps for anyone looking for a good host ;)

It's a shame but I also switched to another site https://imgbb.com because it follows the https protocol unlike Tinypic that does not use a security certificate, I was actually going to ask that everyone stopped using it because of this.

i'll be blunt it's not a shame. tinypic should of shut down a long time ago. images hosted there and shared on forums and such were always breaking.

People were complaining about Photobucket putting their huge watermark on pictures. But I reminded them of all the hosting sites that have gone belly up. I've used Imgur for quite some time, hopefully they stick around. No worries Moon, it wasn't your doing, although I know it must bother you seeing so many of your posts with horrible Tinypic error images :(

I use postimage. It has a great little app which sits in the taskbar, and I can edit, upload or save the image. It works great and uses https. I can also right-click an image file on my disk and select send to -> postimage.
