Problem - After patching on Windows 10 and login into, the PC get black screen and reboots

Same here, this has always been my go to dark theme for Windows Server as mimimal graphical overhead and you can colour co-ordinate for server type!

Thanks for the update as can now use on a 4K remote desktop when they update 2019 to 19H1!

I know beggars can't be choosers but is it possible to make a version that is just a tiny bit brighter? Because I have lots of images that I've been using that are hard to spot sometimes when they have a black surrounding, there's no destinction from the background

I'm having that issue since I fresh installed 21H2, it seems that the issue with all the tool bars appear when I set windows to dark mode as that doesn't work well with the theme, when on the default light mode, the theme seems to be working fine, but it defeats the purpose of having a true dark theme, if the apps won't be on dark mode, any ideas how to workaround/fix that?

Not sure what modifications I have in my personal themes but you can give mine a go and see if it looks any better.

hello and please try to uninstall all theme patchers and aero glass
restart your pc and patch your system only with UltraUXTheme patcher
do not install more different theme patchers on your system

In Windows 11 there is a built in dark theme, would it be sufficient to have a theme which has recolored text, or are there other aspects of this theme that you would miss?

Remember, though, that the Windows 11 "dark theme" applies to UWP apps, File Explorer, Notepad, Task Manager, and that's it. Every other program is blindingly white. I'd love to have those programs look like they did for me back in Windows 10 again with this theme.

Okay thanks for confirming. I wasn't aware of this, maybe because the programs I use have their own themes or the brightness is not so noticeable.

Yep, a few programs do detect dark mode now and change to a (non-native, custom) dark theme, but this right here is an all-too-common occurrence in dark mode:

For me, the bulk of my time is spent in programs like this, and there just aren't any good, simple themes for Windows 11 as far as I can tell. I appreciate the artistry that goes into all the blinged-out gaudy Star Trek-esque themes with bevels and gradients and giant borders and bright reds and yellows and whatnot posted here and DeviantArt and elsewhere, but can't anyone just give us the stock Windows theme in #202020 instead of #FFFFFF like MrGRiM did all those years ago?

Sure I agree and for a while I used the black editions exclusively myself. However, I am confused by your screenshot because I am not using a custom theme but all of the programs shown are using the W11 dark skin, with the exception of computer management.

it can be caused by the fact that new versions of the Windows system and their new updates overwrite files that have been patched
please run the UltraUXTheme patcher and make sure the Themeui and Uxinit files are shown as patched
if they are displayed as unpatched, you only need to click on the patch button and this will solve your problem

then I think your theme files are not placed correctly in the theme folder
please try to replace Windows Theme File and Windows Visual Style File in the
C:\Windows\Resources\Themes directory
or pleases can you upload one of your desktop image here for me

hi mate for the theme to work either for w10 or w11 you need to add the main folder this includes visual style / backgrounds / cursors / sound etc there is a file folder copy that into your resources folder and the theme file

hi ok in the resources folder you need to add 2 things first the file folder with all the contents visual images wallpaper etc then the theme file which needs to be added seperate and also both visual and theme names need to be exactly the same

Figured it out. It was the patch. Even running the patcher in admin it would not let it patch. So just went to windows folder and then under system then take ownership then ran patcher. All good. Thanks again.
