how to disable email notifications from VC????

wassup guys??
thats it,title says everything ^.^

can anyone help me with this please???
I want to disable it because i receive a lot of emails from anothers sites/forums that i belong to
sometimes it takes me a while and it can take up to 1 month or more to check my personal email because i have others xD

so every time I look I'm flooded by a bunch of emails e.e
I just want to keep receiving emails from ADM staff/moderators and important messages if possible :)

Click on Settings top right of page> Under My Settings on the left> My account> General Settings> Scroll down list on right to Default Thread Subscription Mode> Drop down change choice to Through my control panel only> Scroll down to bottom Save changes

what happens if i change for "do not subscribe" i will stop receiving all notifications on VC display and email??? =|

I've always turned of emails right away, but have seen where turning them off after having subscribed with them on results in emails from the threads that were subscribed to before the change. Someone with Admin rights here may be able to set them all to no email. maybe i will test "do not subscribe" to see what happens...
