Description: I've been having this issue for some time now, but my New folder button is not creating new folders. And the option to create a new folder is missing from my desktop context menu. I've searched online for fixes.

SFC /SCANNOW failed.
Manually re adding the context menu option via registry failed [it wasn't even missing from registry].
Uninstalling all system mods failed

Does anyone know what is causing this and how to actually fix it? I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall my OS because I just went through a fresh install not too long ago and don't want to lose all my games and software again.

I'm on Windows 10 Pro Build 19041.vb_release. 191206-1406 if it helps.

---Edit---

I found the fix! Finally!

I had to use these instructions:

Click Start, type Regedit.exe and press ENTER
Navigate to the following location:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder
In the right-pane, double-click (default) and set its data to Folder
Exit the Registry Editor.
