Yeah I am at the same point, everything looks pretty good aside from the window frames, does anyone have a guide or way to use the theme window frames like Monica seems to have done?

Hi Max, you only need 1 Theme patcher, This could be to do with the Colors Settings, Have a look at them and see if its not set for custom colors with system uses Dark and apps use light they both should be set to dark. Like this

HI Max, I think it is how the theme builder left it, try changing to light mode and see if it stays the same. You might have to try get in touch with Neiivo and get him to fix it for you, unless you have WSB you cant change it I don't think.

I tweaked a bunch of things with Winareo Tweaker, I brought back the Windows 10 Taskbar with Explorer Patcher, centered the Taskbar with the Start button with a fork of Taskbar X made for Windows 11, installed Start 11 as a Start menu replacement, installed OldNewExplorer to get back the old Explorer, Installed UltraUX Theme Patcher with After Dark CC Windows 11 theme, patched Windows icons with 7tsp GUI, and made the Taskbar icons larger (32x32) with 7+ Taskbar Tweaker. Hello Mark and this is mix of Windows 10 21H2 and Windows 11 21H2
testing many mix of the system files but this disable more apps on Windows 11
i need to fix many bugs because explorerframe disable many original functions on w11
today i have really big bug and problem because many mixed system files disable Windows 11 update service
my system now dont know what version i am using and i dont know how to fix this because i dont have any backup
i think we need to find a another alternative as mix original system files from w10 21h2 and w11 21h2

Announcing Windows Server Preview Build 25066
Hello Windows Server Insiders!
Today we are pleased to release a new build of the next Windows Server Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) Preview
Microsoft continues with the Server vNext with the 25066 (codename Copper).
As we know, Microsoft had separated the development and started using the new “substructure” Copper with the server. Unlike Windows 11.
If Microsoft hasn't released Windows 11 25057 yet, then there is a separate contribution for the server version.
Because the Windows servers in the Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) have already switched to the next version
and will be provided as the first (codename) Copper.
As always, this release includes both the Desktop Experience and Server Core versions in Datacenter and Standard editions.
At the same time, an ISO was also provided.
As a note: "The branding has not yet been updated and will remain as Windows Server 2022 in this preview".

Hi Moonnique, This is really good to know. I really like windows 11 and it would be great to be able to use custom themes on it with all the bells and Whistles. Ive tried to modify w11 Aero with bitter disappointment only to find you cant use a Custom start menu and taskbar or get the shadows or frames to change. I think I will be swapping over to Server soon and give it a try.

Hi I just wanna say how much love the themes but am confused what did you to change the look of the taskbar and starmenu shell? DeathSlayer, if and when you see the word "Preview" when moon posts her themes, it usually means she is porting or experimenting with Premium Files That Can Not Be Shared due to the fact she does not have the creators permission to do so, as far as i know this includes Alienware Eclipse/Evolution, Aliens etc and more. You can buy the original Themes for older OSs, but they will need to be Ported to Win 10 and only be used for personal use and still can not be shared.

Hope this helps you as you keep asking.

My Win 11 Enterprise, using a 10 Theme, i know i should not do this as issues can be problematic, but i have found many Win 10 latest themes work well in Win, yes Explorer windows do not skin well , but i will take what i can, anything to not look at the boring Win 11 gui.Do not try this yourself unless you understand how to get out of a mess, should it happen

This is a cleodesktop theme that sells for $9.99 on their site , this theme is by no means free.
cleodesktop is not above theme theft also, they have been known to post themes otherwise offered for free for a price on their site. They have also been known to modify themes otherwise offered for free by the original artist , call them their own and sell them for a price.

Word to the wise ..... I would steer clear of cleodesktop. :peace:

I have been doing a bit more testing with it and I have noticed a few issues with some modern UI elements not having frames or caption buttons, nothing game stopping, obviously the frames are being rendered using the Basic theme elements not from DWM, there are limitations with this but also some things you can not do like having tile images and repeating patterns, you do loose shadows though, not sure if there is a 3rd party app that can add shadows.

I have also been working on an updated version of Windows Style Builder, seem to be having a few problems with the program not testing though, the only way I have been able to is by opening a theme, then saving it straight away, then it will let you test, just make sure you have a copy of the theme you are working on though as it will sometimes crash and corrupt the msstyles file.

One other issue I seem to be having, not sure if you or anyone else has any solution to, in the explorer window in details view I am unable to resize columns, would love to know if anyone else has this issue or has a solution.

its really hard for me testing this because this 3rd app doesnt works on my system
my system has been created and customized aubout 2+years and is mix of 3 different version of windows - windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2022
i dont remember exactly all custom themes for Windows 10 so i cant confirm which things are rendered incorrectly
here some screens and i think i need to testing this app only on the fresh windows 11 os but
but at the moment I don't have free time or space for it, I have an awful lot of obligations, but I will try as soon as possible
I would be very happy if someone with Windows 11 could safely try this application

all pre-installed windows 11 applications are disabled in the apps menu
actually, I have never used them even in the Windows 10 operating system
it is possible to use only newly installed applications that are not part of a clean installation of Windows 11
oh yes, this was can be caused by this file i think
I never had this problem because I don't use the shell file in the tem directory

after looking this theme on his site I see that it uses my updated shellstyle for windows 11
also uses my updated and ported icon set which is free rather than paid
this is the end of my windows 11 support for scumbags like him


Ok.
I am now in a position to report back on Cleodesktops. I sent an e mail asking for a winver page and a 50% discount code as i did not believe it was Windows 11 ready Theme. What Looked like A Vietnamese dude e mailed me back with both code and Theme files, not just theme files but a whole bunch of stuff supposedly needed to make things work. I followed all info to the letter without mistakes, but here is were it all went wrong.
The Start Menu is unusually big and can not be size changed with any setting in startallback or any other setting come to that. There is also a blank section going through the Start Menu from top to bottom, effectively cutting the start menu in half.
Cleodesktops says it will offer support, so the back and forth e mails started with many screenshots sent both ways. Finally i lost patience with this man and asked for a refund several time, something i have not received.

To close things, this is my verdict.
Cleodesktops Themes are a waste of money and Time, the themes he sells are not complete and do not run as they should, even with lots of work and the extra programs he sends with it. The so called support offered is useless and a complete waste of time.
You would think, seeing as he is using A Stolen Theme to begin with (Mr Blades Alienware Eclipse) he could have made a better job of it.But NO.
ALL MEMBERS.
Do not waste your money with Cleodesktops, your money will be wasted and lost, and any after sales support, is 1000% Useless.

PS: He is now trying to sell various other Stolen Themes saying they are Win 11 ready.
I know others in this topic have said do not use Cleodesktops, but my curiosity peaked and i thought i would check it out for half price myself, i am very glad i did , if not only, to report back to the from a very Negative Experience.

I also paid Cleodesktops for this Theme, and it was full of errors. The Support Cleodesktops says it offers is no use at all, he can not fix a Theme he created. I have multiple E Mails from a Vietnamese Guy, who did nothing but string me along, when i told him i would report back to Theme Sites, giving negative responses, he stopped responding to my E Mails.
Seems Like We Were Both Ripped Off yoejam. I am not saying you are the Vietnamese guy or work for Cleodesktops. I also Paid money, although, i asked him for 50% off, something he gave me very easily, now i know why. I do not think you created or sold this Theme, but it is a Poor Attempt to copy Mr Blades Alienware Eclipse, and re sell it as "Alienware Big Border Theme", i now see he has made 3 other colour editions of the same Mr Blade Theme.

ALL FORUM MEMBERS, NEVER USE CLEODESKTOPS, THE SITE SELLS OTHERS WORK, EVEN FREE THEMES FROM THIS SITE FOR $11+, AND CALLS THEM HIS OWN.

dont like Basic Themer 2 anymore but this looks impressive amazing

This is my process:

First I replace the original shellstyle

1.- I run as administrator WSB 7-10 TH2 and import my w7 theme. I don't touch anything and save it directly, as you said

2.- I run, as administrator, WSB TH2-19H1 1903 and import the theme. After a few seconds, the import is finished, and then I run the stylehack Windows 10 1903 import Fix. Ok to import images. wait several seconds, and I don't touch anything and directly save my theme (I don't test and do nothing).

3.-I close WSB, open, close, and then re-open my theme, so now I can look and test that W10 version theme. I change sizes and margins and prepare it for porting to w11 (context and inmersive menus, taskbar, etc)


Here comes the problem: Some themes (I don't know why) crashes when I port them to w11 with the w11 shellstyle you provided so, in some cases, I have to port them with the 2021 shellstyle


4.- So, I go to my VM W11 and change the W10 shellstyle for importing the W10 theme to W11.

5.- I close WSB, open, close, and re-open with my theme. Now I can test-fix and save the definitive W11 version

I have no problem with Aus Tuf for porting it with the new shellstyle, but I needed to port again Nefarious, from W10, because the shellstyle did my explorer background dessapear. So, I ported it again witn the 2021 shellstyle, and the background came back.


I have a couple of old themes that crashes when a I try ti import them.


And,finally, I'm playing with "Alice" and I have no problems with this port: I used the latest shellstyle ad the backgrounds pictures are pretty fine, as you can see:

Thanks Erin, that is the same way I have been able to achieve it, have not tried too many themes though so have not encountered the issue with the shellstyle, it could be a modification I made to it that allows different colors on the states in the command module and CPLCommand Module, my import script does fill all those locations with text color properties but I have experienced an issue with white windows if those properties are not present.

I will have to upload a new version and make sure I somehow explain how to use it, it should work fine though as long as the import is run.

You can use this stylehack file to add the properties as well.

hi mark yeah the other way to update w7 themes for w11 is do the import on a w10 machine first and save the theme somewhere than bring the w7 theme over to w11 and then do the windows 11 dwm import fix on the w11 machine you might need to remove some images anyway can you pm me your new custom themes please i did already ask

I think Windows 11 took a step backward. Windows 10 was an adjustment from Windows 7 but there were improvements. I like it. I do notice most themes are kind of Windows 7 based through and through.
At least we have that right.
It's like Windows 11 is just more work for less. Life is supposed to get easier. Not to be kept off balance.

the real changes can only be seen if you are the owner of an intel processor of the twelfth generation and higher
i own intel 12900K and intel 13900K and both work better only on windows 11
are made in collaboration mainly for Windows 11 since they contain the thread director function
if you use windows 10, this processor does not work and cannot work properly
rather, it only slows down the entire system, so it is better to turn off E cores
but that doesn't make sense why someone would want this processor when it gets half the performance
Microsoft does not focus on people who create themes for the Windows system
they focus more on security and its new functions than visions ahead

The only customization app I am using is StartAllBack as I currently don't apply custom themes. I'm finding 11 is a bit better now with a PC that's compatible.

Same here. Mine's has TPM and UEFI. It works well, so I haven't taken the risk

My PC is fairly old and outdated, as such I'm using the Tiny11 build for my Windows 11 install.
There are no custom themes or DLL patching in this setup, just a few simple tools.
The blur from DWM Blur Glass and Explorer Blur Mica refused to apply but the end result still looks pretty nice to me.
