I replaced the Imageres.dll in Systemresource = still win10 icon

i have a problem that i dont know what i did wrong i just replaced the dll in C:\Windows\SystemResources\ and restarded windows 10, i just remember that it worked like 1 years ago


so the problem i still have the windows 10 icons but some windows 10 icons changed to my imageres.dll icons

i am sure that i did nothing wrong with the edit of my imageres.dll.mui90696

hello and what version (build) of Windows you are using?
better way is using 7tsp as replace files manually on Windows 10
and please do not replace imageres.dll.mui file in your system only the imageres.dll file
Windows 10 19h1+ and Windows 11 using imageres.dll.mun file not imageres.dll file

sorry but this is not the problem with your imageres file
because you are using mix of two different icons i think w10 and windows vista

Installation:
Open up 7TSP & click Add a Custom Pack & select the icon pack you want to install.
Click on Start Patching.
By default 7TSP will create a restore point & install the icon pack.
Once installation is done reboot & you're done
