Font Won't Install

Does anyone know why downloaded fonts wont install any more on windows 10? I've tried both types of font OTF and TTF and both will not install. Can't find any reason on why or how to force install them.

All Fonts are Stored in the C:\Windows\Fonts Folder >>> You Can Add Fonts by Simply Dragging the Font Files From the Extracted Files Folder Into This Folder; Windows Will Automatically Install Them.

yes you can simple put your Fonts to the C:\Windows\Fonts directory
or right click\General\Change\Opens with\Windows Font Viewer and click on install

Yep tried that doesn't work use to about 6 months ago or so.

Already says it opens with font viewer and tried dragging them in the font folder tried converting them to TTF and OTF no luck. The install button is greyed out can't click on it.

try to run sfc /scannow or

Thanks Monica that did the trick had to run the repair tool and now the button to install font is back.

Yep worked for me and also if you want to change system font entirely use a program like Winaero

Thanks Monica that did the trick had to run the repair tool and now the button to install font is back.
i am very glad this helped to you
and this problem can be caused with using custom icon pack
some of the bad ported icon packs from the other authors can locking some of the system apps as windows security , volume , fonts , device manager .etc
if you have some problems with running any of your apps first just try to uninstall your custom icon pack
and the best choice is sfc /scannow because this change all corrupted files back to windows default
but remember after using sfc /scannow you neet to install UltraUXTheme patcher back if you need to run custom themes
because sfc /scannow change all of this patched themeui.dll and uxinit.dll files back to windows default
