Windows just updated and installed October 10, 2023-KB5031224 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 and now startisback is not working, Is there a way to resolve this, many thanks.

Solved it

Windows update somehow uninstalled UltraUXThemePatcher all I had to do was reinstall it all working now, Silly Microsoft updates:anger:.

Yea, once, maybe twice/year a windows update nukes the patched files, no idea why. I noticed after updating + rebooting that my apps suddenly had way too much white in them (despite still being on dark mode) and the taskbar was all flat + boring. Reinstalled UltraUXThemePatcher again and all was good.

Stupid M$, making our lives difficult lol

yes, if your theme is not displayed correctly after the windows update, it is because
the files themeui.dll and uxinit.dll located in the System32 directory were overwritten to their default
if you have problems after the update, just open the UltraUXtheme patcher application
these files should appear as unpatched instead of patched
it is therefore necessary to replace them again by reinstalling the UltraUXtheme patcher application
if you want to avoid this, you can use the alternative application SecureUxThemePatcher

That SecureUX thing ooks more complicated though ... as long as it works I'll stick withUltraUXThemePatcher, it's only 1 or 2 times/year that a win10 update messes things up. And once M$ stops offering updates for it then the issue will be gone anyway
