No I meant the white part of explorer in the save/open dialog.

oh - that seems to have been fixed. Thank you mate :)
There's something wrong with this Drive Properties pane screenshot as well.
I think it's one of the extra programs you've installed that I quoted.
For example, those images on the titlebar in your screenshot seem to be because of a program adding extra window/display features.
If everything else is working in your theme, there's no reason why the Drive Properties background should appear white.
It shouldn't be caused by any of the standard apps recommended to be installed with themes (ie. ONE or Aero Glass).
Here's how the Properties dialog should look:

My recommendation would be to uninstall some of those other programs. After watching the video for DisplayFusion, it looks like that could be the cause of those images on the titlebar.
Your Registry tweaks are not the cause of the problem either.
I can't find anything wrong with the Drive Properties pane - I will take your advice and see if the other problems are fixed upon a DisplayFusio uninstallation.
The problem I'm referring to is the white background in this case.
StarDock products have been known to cause problems with using custom themes. If DisplayFusion is not the cause of the problem, you can try systematically uninstalling each StarDock program, reboot and reapply the theme each time.
Oh - As far as the white background is concerned, so long as the text is viewable, I really don't mind it.
The problem arises when nothing is visible, as is the case with Fold Properties.
I'll try to find the root of the problem by trail and error (as you proposed) and i'll report back here so people with the same problem know what's causing it
However, I'm not sure when I'll start uninstalling the software - i find i'm currently overwhelmed by the sheer volume of projects for the bloody master's degree, so.. hope i'll find time for windows cosmetic surgery next week or so (easter).
