Finally, I'm about 95% there. It's not 100% correct like you can get when making a basic theme, but you need a microscope to be able to spot that's it's not quite pixel perfect.

Ya the explorer frame. I thought it was called the caption.

There is no top image and bottom image. It is just left and right image. That green line through the middle was to show how it changes...

As for the weird, triple wide borked gutter in firefox, I just put the menu boarder back to something more standard (3x3) and it fixed that too.

On the left is my stock image. On the right is how windows has chosen to display it. Basic themes work fine I can get it to work properly. I've set the margins correctly but it seems it is not enough...

I've been building a basic theme. I've got "Composition=0" in my theme file so it shows up as a basic theme and loads the relevant parts etc just fine. But now I delete that line, it still just loads...

I changed the menu colors as you can see (right). It looks bugged. That grey bit disappears after you mouse over it. In firefox the menu looks totally messed up (left).

I guess it's not possible then. I've seen it done on other themes, but that is with aero on, not a basic theme I am making (which I forgot to mention in post #1).

I have the min/max/close buttons perfect except I want to move them to the left a bit. If I make the close button wider, it changes the size of the min and max buttons too, which I don't want. So...

Defaults were PaddedBorderWidth=4 and SizingBorderWidth=1 (which resulted in the 8px width frame).

I made PaddedBorderWidth=0 and now frame width is 4px wide. Is that the...
