    Orb Location

    Can someone tell me what file this alienware logo is stored in? I looked in Shellbrd.dll and I dont see it listed there where I've changed the windows orb.

    This is a computer brand logo, most likely you will find it at C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info

    I found them in C:\windows\system32\oobe\info\default, From there there are 4 folders listed as 1031, 1033, 1036, and 2057. Inside each folder there is a Alienware Folder and in each of them is a Logo.bmp and Logo.png. The bmp file has the logo like I posted in the picture, and the png file only has the alienware name.

    Do I change all these files if I want to change it? or just one maybe... or is everything kept in a dll file near by somewhere.

    Thanks.

    Re: Orb Location

    Those folders indicates some language ID's, Language (Locale)packs slipstreamed into .iso
    I'm pretty sure they are;
    1033 US-United States
    2057 UK-United Kingdom
    1031 DE-Germany
    1036 FR-French (France)

    so.... I would change those logos in 1033-US folder only

    ....the png file only has the alienware name.
    It could be for Media Center...when you lunch it look in lower right corner of the window, that logo should be there.

    Lefty, thanks for the reply (a while back) I have still cant seem to get the file display on screen. I wanted to confirm the file location that you changed, and if you restarted or reloaded any file.

    I have changed the Logo.bmp in the 1033 folder, and restarted explorer... also have rebooted with no change.

    Thanks
