If you find that your Windows Ribbon is not displayed correctly in an application that uses the /largeaddressaware option on a Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer, then this hotfix may help you.

hotfix icon Fix: Windows Ribbon is not displayed correctly

If you run a 32-bit application, like say, Windows Live Movie Maker, that uses the Windows Ribbon and that uses the /largeaddressaware option on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, and you find that Windows Ribbon is not displayed correctly and the application does not work as expected, then head over to KB2300535 https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2300535/ to request and download a hotfix to address this issue.

The /largeaddressaware option tells the linker that the application can handle addresses larger than 2 gigabytes. By default, /largeaddressaware:NO is enabled if /largeaddressaware is not otherwise specified on the linker line.
