Am I correct in assuming that there have been so many changes in Windows ... that maintaining a "base" theme is much more difficult?

Yep there has been many changes to W10 since this tread was started in 2011

it would be best to use Base that's already been updated and keep it up to date Mate, its good to see you back Man.
