Some Pics I Took Freediving Today Eels, Turtles Etc in Maui

These were all taken without oxygen (freediving) so I had to really work hard to get these shots and dive down quite deep on most of them. Most were taken off of Molokini and also on the south side of maui by the lava fingers.

If anyone wants to use the pics please feel free they are yours to do with as you please.

How deep have you been?...How long have you held your breath for?...

The deepest I have been freediving is about 30ft although I wouldn't recommend going down that far unless you can really hold your breath. I can only hold mine for about 1 1/2 minutes tops. Most of these pics were in about 20-25 feet of water.

I love the turtles, it's funny people pay all this money here to go a place dubbed "turtle town" and right in front of the Marriott there is a 300lb and 400lb pair of turtles that I dive with everyday at sunset. You're not supposed to even touch them here but the current has actually pushed them into me so I just put out my glove on the back shell so I didn't interfere with them as they were feeding.

400 Pounds! That sounds incredible... I take it you live there; Looks like a pretty spectacular place to be...
