But are you really patching the shell32.dll when you patch the shell32.dll.mui? Don't the shell32.dll.mui is a different file with different resources from shell32.dll? Does it mean that you can change every icons located in shell32.dll in W10 as long as you change them by patching the shell32.dll.mui?

i could very well be wrong but in win 10, afaik, custom resource types are not loaded from shellStyle.dll if it has mui resource pair, so you have to merge it with mui

So, your answer would be: Yes you can change the shell32 icons that used to be in shell32.dll by patching shell32.dll.mui since in W10 they are loaded from shell32's pair file which is shell32.dll.mui. I'm confused because i checked and it doesn't seems like the icons are the same. See Pic 1.PNG. Unless i'm not understanding what you are saying correctly.

And would you know which files can be patched with iPack builder? Moonnique gave me a list of files that can be patched using 7tsp, see pic 1.png. But what about iPack builder?

iPack can patch all as 7tsp without explorer.exe.mui.res and shell32.dll.mui.res
explorer.exe.mui.res and shell32.dll.mui.res can be patched only with 7tsp

do this work for win11? i have the 7tsp HUD Machine Blue Icon Pack for Windows 11 21h2++ and after last update getting the error can't find pack.ini on each Pack which i have tired.

already tried the fix with rename the file but no luck.
