HDClone Free Edition 4.0.7
Author: miray https://www.miray.de/home/index.html
License: Freeware
Requires: Win XP/2003/08/Vista/Windows7
HDClone copies the content of hard disks on a physical level from one disk to another hard disk. Depending on the sizes of the hard disks, a complete or abridged image of the source disk will be created.
Free Edition:
The Free Edition of HDClone offers all necessary abilities to copy a complete hard disk onto another, larger hard disk. This can be utilized to migrate an existing installation to a new hard disk as well as for data rescue. The Free Edition is real freeware without obligation to buy and is intended for the short-term usage at no cost. But in case of more frequent usage, we recommend using one of the higher editions since they offer higher performance in the first line but also support a wider range of hardware as well as additional options which are optimized for regular or professional usage.
HDClone Free Edition supports IDE/ATA and SATA/eSATA hard disks and is able to copy up to 300 MB/min.
Basic Edition:
The Basic Edition of HDClone is conceived for occasional utilisation, especially for migrating complete installations, backups, data rescue, and system restore. Besides USB support and higher performance, it also offers arbitrary copy directions (not only small»large like the Free Edition). Furthermore, it contains extended options for backup ('Disk-to-Partition-Backup'), system restore (partition copy), and data rescue ('SafeRescue' mode).
HDClone Basic Edition supports besides IDE/ATA and SATA/eSATA hard disks also USB Mass Storage devices (hard disk, stick, card reader) via USB 1.1 and copies up to 600 MB/min.
Standard Edition:
The Standard Edition of HDClone is conceived for regular and professional use. Besides support for USB 2.0 and IDE-CompactFlash, it also offers a verifying mode for data reconciliation with the target medium and high copying performance.
HDClone Standard Edition supports besides IDE/ATA and SATA/eSATA hard disks and USB Mass Storage devices (hard disk, stick, card reader) via USB 1.1 also the far more swift USB 2.0 standard and copies up to 1,2 GB/min.
Professional Edition:
The Professional Edition of HDClone is conceived for daily use. For this purpose, it offers technicians, professional and private users highest possible speed and flexibility through its 'FastCopy' mode and the 'Sector area' option which allows you to define an arbitrary copying area on the medium.
HDClone Professional Edition supports besides IDE/ATA and SATA/eSATA hard disks and USB Mass Storage devices (hard disk, stick, card reader) via USB 1.1 and 2.0 also SCSI hard disks* and Firewire (IEEE1394) mass storage (SBP2) devices, e.g. an external hard disk or a card reader. The Professional Edition copies up to 5,4 GB/min and more.
