Forum category icons

OK, so i have just started a new site but it needs work...much work LOL. I strongly believe 'eye candy' plays a huge role on how much members will stick around, i was immediately caught by the looks of this place

so i think my theory isn't that far off!
To start with(for now) i need some forum category icons to replace what i have, so do you guys know of some good sites to look at?
I am not talking about iconpackager icons or system icons, the main home page icons to the left of the categories on forums like here( sorry, i can't add links or images yet to show you). But ive looked around and most seem to be cheapy looking or don't fit to what i need.
I understand you guys design your own but if you know of some nice 'icon' sites it would be hugely appreciated

Yeah man, that would be so awesome!!! Let me make a few more posts here then i can put up some screenshots of my site and links etc

The forum 'unread' and 'read' icon.

I want something bigger, brighter that ties with the theme. The name of the site is 'Immortals' so originally i did Roman shields. Just needing something cool looking that makes the forum pop
