First time OC'ing! Super excited!
I have never done an OC job before and I really need to so I can keep up with some Current gen games.
my pc specs are
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz
XFX Radeon R7750 2GB Video card
and my MOBO is an MSI 2A9C
How do i go about OC'ing and what can i do to squeeze performance from my CPU/VideoCard without damaging my pc or having to switch cooling systems?
thanks for the help in advance guys

Hi Mate
First You Want To Make Sure You Can Keep It Cooled What Type Of Cooler Are You Using
Second Check If Your Motherboard Has The Required Settings To Achieve Overclocking Your CPU
Third Make Sure You Have Enough PSU Juice As To Prevent Voltage Bottleneck
This Will Give You A Good Run Down About Your CPU https://www.overclockers.com/3-step-g...core-i3-i5-i7/
Also Note Overclocking Has Its Risks So Make Sure You Understand Thos Before Trying OK
Good Luck And Remember Small Bumps On The Clock Settings Not Large Ones

do you have any suggestions as far as fans go? preferably the ones that plug into the pentagon shaped power cords that come from the PSU ?

aftermarket air coolers
https://www.newegg.com/CPU-Fans-Heats...4?Tpk=cpu fans
watercoolers
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...+hydro&x=0&y=0
i use corsair h100 best buy ever for my i7 2600k
make sure your case has room to support an air cooler or if watercooled a radiator
as for molex connector base fans a fan controller would be best suited as it supports different fan speeds and most can support 3 or more fans it just takes up a drive bay the size of a dvd burner base on the type of controller
fan controllers like this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811999220
Edit: tho if you have the money it prob would be better to buy a good SSD as the performance incease just from the SSD could save you the potential issues with overclocking
