i´m not realy sure if iam right or if i understand your question right
but as far as i know icons are bmp files so u have to open the files with a Image editing program like paint or paintshop or photoshop or something like that and then change it with the ways the program gives you

Ray061630 is referring to the text under the icons, not text on the icons. icons are not bmp's by the way.
