It does work, I currently have a Windows 7 machine that dual boots with Windows 8.1.1
You have to make sure that Windows 8 gets installed on a different drive altogether from Windows 7.
Note: If you do this just be aware that Windows 8 / 8.1 will be booted by default if you do not make a selection at the OS selection screen.Last edited by Dark Knight; August 20th, 2014 at 08:18 PM.
