Windows 8.1.1 and Bitdefender Total Security 2014

o.k. long story short before installing 8.1.1 in my real environment i tested it out extensively in vm. i found out that if you get past a certain point with the windows updates bitdefender will not install, if you install bd prior to a certain point it installs and works great even after you do the rest of the windows updates. anyone have any suggestion on getting it installed and working correctly in a fully updated 8.1.1? i have eset smart security in, but i'd rather have my bitdefender. thanks

If you are using an ASUS board remove the AI suite as the NDIS ASUS driver (WinpkFilter LightWeight Filter) can stop some bitdefender files from being installed m8.

i am using bitdefender 2013 on win 8.1.1 x64 with no problems going to try total security in vmware with a full win 8.1.1 to test will do a full update first. Will report back later

or just install bitdefender first before updating

sorry folks i figured it out and forgot to report back. in the following order and you should not have any problems,

    1. install 8.1.1
    2. do all the 8.1.1 updates
    3. install your drivers
    4. install your security software
    5. customize your os to your liking
    6. install your 3rd party software
