Change text colours in windows
I'm trying some dark themes for 10 TH2 (finally there's an uxtheme patch ) that works pretty good (and they hide the folder band too!).
The only and the main problem is the colour of the text in menu bar. Should be white-gray on black everywhere, but sometime, expecially (always) on inactive windows are in dark gray on black (not very nice xD).
Very probably, depends on theme, or from the fact the manually patched files (uxtheme.dll,themeui.dll,uxinit.dll) are slightly different (10586.3) in version from the system ones (10586.7x).
It's possible change the text colour of menu bars without break the whole theme?Last edited by Hadden; January 31st, 2016 at 11:48 PM.

Sorry, I'll explain better ^^
Now is pretty fixed. I used glass colorization and system metrics (reg edits) from Mr. Grim black theme who fixed almost every windows (in particular explorer) which show that error. However with some apps still happen.
Vlc - Window is active
Vlc - Window is inactive
Emule - Download list is white on black / upload list isn't
I had a problem with classic shell too - black program list on grey text - but I solved switching to a full glass theme, who integrate perfectly with dark themes and aero.

It's not here on VC (not sure if I can directly link): it's called Katy Dark for 10 10586.
I'm trying also some theme of VC too - After Dark, b10v2, black edition.
All works well on the most apps (after registry fix from black edition) expect for the same issue on specific apps with different themes.
In my case, white is not on dark on:
- Black Glass Enhanced: config page, in some themes is kind visible: black text on 50% gray background;
- Emule: partially ok;
- VLC: See screenshot above. The text is black on gray in context menu too.
However, I switched back to the theme which I took the .reg (for avoiding even more confusion).
Vlc Inactive with Grim Black Edition Orange
Vlc context menu (and few others) with Grim Black Edition Orange

I tried Katy Dark and Black Edition Orange and can confirm that the greyed out text on inactive menus is due to theme selection. It's not due to the patching method since I don't use the same method as you. May I suggest you try Black Edition Orange Mix as it doesn't occur with these variants of the theme. See this preview:
