A little help here porting 7 themes to 8.1

Hi everyoneI'm trying to port some 7 themes to 8.1 I followed Mr-Blades tutorial from his blog and opened .msstyle (as 7 theme) and saved with VSB. Then I opened it again and when I tested it on 8.1 (as per instructions) I had a black screen with nothing but my cursor visible. The same situation when you patch the theme files over the already patched ones.What am I doing wrong ?Any help will be greatly appreciated.Thank you for reading.
