How to move the details pane at the top in Windows Explorer ?
Hi everyone,
System: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
For one particular theme, I need to move the details pane on the top, right under the command module (enabled with OldNewExplorer). I understand this is done by manipulating the shell32.dll. I followed a guide written for Windows 7 but it didn't work and crashed my Windows. I had restore the Windows to get back online again.
Here's the guide I followed:

I checked my edited shell32.dll's had no digital signature on them. Probably that's why Windows rejected them.
Any idea how can I accomplish this ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Okay I disabled the option "Show details pane" from OldNewExplorer and Re-patched the system with 7TSP but it still didn't work.
Also, can't download the attached files. Forum says invalid attachment ID.
Is there any other way of doing this ?
Lastly, Your screenshots looks nothing short of astonishing. I would love to have one of those. I noticed that everything is skinned from shell Icons to everything. That's how it's done. I strive for completion and I love that. We'll get to that once we sort this details pane issue out.register or log in to view signatures!

Hi, Donkuz
Yes, I have settings exactly like in your screenshots. Deatils pane option is disbaled in OldNewExplorer and enabled in Windows Explorer. If I'm disbaling it in the Windows Explorer, then the details pane doesn't show. When enabled it shows at the bottom.
I'll try copy the mui files sent to me by றѳѳղղįqվદ in the system32 folder and see how it goes.
Thank you for taking interest in my thread.
I edited shellstyle.dll that accompanies the theme from Mark in accordance with the instructions from Moonlique, but still nothing. This should have worked. It's the shellstyle.dll that injects the code into shell32.dll. I don't know what's wrong.Last edited by ceo54; 08-29-2019 at 07:22 AM.
