Problem with explorer icon
Hello friends,
today I've installed the X-Box Game bar from the Microsoft Store because I've needed to record my desktop in a video.
From this moment my explorer icon has changed (see screenshot). The recording has not worked like I have planned so I've uninstalled this X-Box shit.
I've had installed the 7tsp Shadow Digital Blue Icon Pack V2 for Win 10 20h2 and the icon was themed.
Now the icon isn't themed so thought to install the 7tsp pack again. Result: nothing, icon not themed.
Reset with 7tsp all changes and installed again. Result: nothing, icon not themed.
O.K. other idea, installed another icon pack (HUD evolution Icon Pack). Result: nothing, icon not themed.
What can I do, to get the icon themed like it was before ???
Any help would be nice.
Regards

hello my Friend and i really dont know how many people here have experiences with system files and icon packs
you can try one of this two steps
1.if you have problem with File Explorer (Explorer.exe)
go to C:\Windows\en-US and you need to take ownership explorer.exe.mui file first before 7tsp was used
run 7tsp as Administrator add Icon Pack and click on Start Patching
2.if your problem persist you can try sfc /scannow
just open 7tsp as Administrator and run
7tsp/Program/SFC/Scan/SFC /Scannow
this restore all system files to windows default
please uninstall UltraUXTheme patcher first if is already installed
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool
if you have Nvidia graphic card
you can use recording with Ultimate quality for free

Hello Moonique,
thanks for the answer but the both solutions don't work.
But I've found the solution by myself and it's strange because I haven't know that this is possible.
I have Windows 10 20h2.
In the screenshots you can see the solution.
First of all I've opened the explorer (it's not pinned on the task bar).
I clicked the icon with the right mouse button. And there you see the point "File explorer".
When you click "File Explorer" with right mouse you will see "Properties", in German "Eigenschaften"
And click "Properties" with the left mouse opens the following window where you can change the icon, in German "Anderes Symbol"
And with this you change the icon and it works like you see in the screenshots.
So again thanks for the help and regards
Michael

please can you upload here for me your explorer.exe and explorer.exe.mui file
C:\Windows\explorer.exe
C:\Windows\en-US\explorer.exe.mui

your explorer is replaced correctly
i think Xbox Game bar change this original icon in the Icon cache folder
https://www.howtogeek.com/232779/how-to-rebuild-a-broken-icon-cache-in-windows-10/
i think you need to rebuild your Icon cache manually and if you dont know how here is the little tool for you
or just open up 7tsp click on program/Clear Icon Cache
run sfc /scannow as Administrator restart your pc
remove again Icon cache or use again one of this tool
restart pc run 7tsp as Administrator now you can use your Icon Pack what you like
