Yes, it's still possible to change the Windows 11 taskbar position
but you need to use this workaround.

Windows 11 comes with an updated version of the taskbar that features a center alignment for the Start menu and app buttons
redesigned notification area, new effects and animations, and more.
Although it introduces many welcome improvements, it also removes some of the legacy functionality
such as the ability to change the position of the Windows 11 taskbar.

If you are among those who like the taskbar on another location, like at the top, left, or right side
it’s still possible to do this. The only caveat is that you can only complete this task editing the Registry.

In this guide, you will learn the steps to change the taskbar position to any of the screen sides on Windows 11.

Warning: It’s very important to note that modifying the Windows Registry can cause serious problems if not used properly.
It’s assumed you know what you’re doing and that you have created a full backup of your system before proceeding.

Change taskbar position on Windows 11
To place the taskbar at the top (left, right, or bottom)
To change the position of the taskbar, use these steps:

    1. Open Start on Windows 11.

    2. Search for regedit and click the top result to open the Registry Editor.

    3. Browse the following path:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects3

    4.Double-click the Settings binary key.

    5. Under the “Value data” section, in the second row and the sixth column, click the 03 value
press the Delete key, and replace the value with 01 to position the Windows 11 taskbar at the top of the screen.

    6. Change the 03 value to 02 to position the taskbar on the right side of the screen.

    7. Change the 03 value to 00 to position the taskbar on the left side of the screen.

    8. Change the value to 03 to position the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.

    9. Click the OK button.

    10. Right-click the Start button and select the Task Manager option.

    11. Click the Processes tab.

    12. Select the Windows Explorer process.

    13. Click the Restart button.

Once you complete the steps, the Windows 11 taskbar will be in the position you configure in the binary key.

While you can still change the taskbar position, this is not a supported feature on Windows 11
which means that this behavior may not work as expected.
