Windows 10 - disable Startbutton hover

Hi,

I edited msstyles file with msstyleEditor to change the start button.
I have replaced all the necessary images and it works.

But there's one thing. Hover effect on start button.
How can I disable it?

This ugly gray box on right side of the image.

Don't want to use any 3th-party software like Start11 etc.

Hi Nierewa. Welcome to VC Mate, OK now if your using a Custom Theme in Dark Mode it will always show that grey hover effect. Try using Light Mode and see if it stops. Its a glitch we cant do anything about but you can also use the Start orb that should be in the Theme Folder with the msstyles called explorer.exe and select it from there

Just right click the orb to pop the menu up and select Properties to open StartisBack Configurations, then on the right hand side under the orbs select add with the green cross.


Select your orb and then click apply back in the Configurations.
This method is much better and will show the orb normal when you hover over it.
